Allan MacNeil is originally from Cape Breton Island. Allan is very excited to work with a great team at the Native Council of Prince Edward Island. Allan’s research position with NCPEI is Tripartite Justice Facilitator. Allan brings years of experience working as a mental health and addictions counsellor with a diverse client homeless population with mental health & addiction issues. In addition to his extensive background in Mental Health and Addiction Counseling/Case Manager, Allan graduated with a 4-year Bachelor of Arts Degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and graduated with a 2-year Addictions and Mental Health Counselor Diploma from George Brown College, Toronto. Allan completed 4 years combined graduate and post graduate studies in Psychotherapy at Gestalt Institute of Toronto (GIT), and 12 years of ongoing case management and psychotherapy training. Allan also has an extensive background of teaching acting and theatre in Canada and parts of the US.
