Position: Human Resources and SUCCESS Program Facilitator

Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: 6 FJ McAulay Court, Charlottetown, PE

Salary: $33,150

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Coordinator provides assistance to managers and employees with respect to HR policies and procedures including: employee relations, recruitment and benefits. This position also works in conjunction with the SUCCESS pre-employment training Coordinator to facilitate life skills programming.

REPORTS TO: The President and Chief

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain resume filing system for management review

· Facilitate the hiring of new NCPEI team members which includes orientation training

· Maintain personnel files and ensure all documentation is up to date

· Assist supervisors in the annual planning and monitoring of team members evaluations

· Support performance reviews, grievances, disciplinary processes, and exit strategy

· Seek out and develop new partnerships for work placements

· Assist clients with career action plans and “return to work” assessments

· Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job readiness

· Assist with life skills, resume/cover letter, job search

· Prepare monthly program report for funder and supervisor

· Attend career fairs and educational institution open houses to promote NCPEI

· Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

· Working knowledge of the Labour Standards Act

· Knowledge of the Human Rights Act

· Post secondary certification with an emphasis on Human Resources or a combination of relevant education and experience

· Facilitation experience an asset

· Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, vulnerable sector clear criminal record check clearance
