Disease in the Children of Residential School Survivors
March 03, 2010 | Turtle Island Native Network is reporting on a new study that says Aboriginal young people are at greater risk of Hepatitis C infection if at least one of their parents is a residential school survivor (Story published on February 11, 2010)
That is one of the major risk factors for HCV infection.
The study says having at least one parent who attended residential school means a young Aboriginal person is nearly twice as likely to get Hepatitis C if they are an injection drug user . . .
