Golden Vegetable Puree

This is a nice tasting recipe taken from Joanie's Country **** book.

Prep Time: 5 min
**** Time: 40 min or until tender

medium turnip 1
medium potatoes 3
medium carrots 4
tsp salt 1
Tbsp butter or margarine 6
Tbsp honey or maple syrup 3
tsp nutmeg 1/2
Pepper to taste  


  • Wash and dice turnips, potatoes and carrots. Place in a large saucepan.
  • Add about 2" of water and salt, Boil about 40 min or until vegetables are tender.
  • Drain and mash well, Add butter, nutmeg and pepper. Beat until butter and honey are melted and all is smooth. Serve
