Tuna Melt

A nice treat and very easy to prepare

1 can 7 oz chunk tuna rinsed and drained
25 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 oz
125 ml chopped celery
1/2 cup
25 ml sweet pickle relish
1 tbsp
  freshly ground pepper
6 slices whole wheat bread or 3 english muffins, split in half


  • In a bowl, combine tuna,mozzarella cheese, celery and relish. Season with pepper to taste.
  • Toast bread slices, Place on a baking sheet Spread 125ml ( 1/2 cup) tuna mixture on each slice.
  • Bake in a 190* C ( 375*F) oven for 10 min or until cheese melts.
  • Serve immediately cut in half for meal size servings, in quarters or sixths for snack size serving.

Makes: 6 meal size servings or 12 snack size servings.
