The Unity in Action: Indigenous Youth Rising Against Racism Program
The NCPEI Unity in Action: Indigenous Youth Rising Against Racism is a project for Indigenous youth that delivers workshops, creative activities, and events aimed at assisting participants in building leadership, advocacy, and communication skills.
The project seeks to engender a positive change among youth in attitudes towards Indigenous culture and racism through boosting self-confidence, enhancing cultural awareness, and improving understanding of anti-racism concepts. The reach of the project is further expanded through community outreach efforts, in which participating youth spearhead the development of creative projects, such as murals or videos.
